If your moving to Dallas, you should join Sheran Di Kaum, its a fairly new team and I know they will be needing people next year, I'm sure you can help out the team live up to its potential :)

heres a link to the fan page: https://www.facebook.com/SheranDiKaum

"Howdy" Jagdeep ;)

Since you'll be moving ot Dallas, "Sheran Di Kaum" (SDK) is who came to mind as well. They've been together for a few years, although changing rosters due to people leaving the area (among other reasons). They used to be all guys team, but are now co-ed.

If you were movin to Houston (which is roughly 4-5 hours), I would recommend "Nishani Bhangra." Co-ed team.

Austin (roughly 3-4 hours away) has UT Austin's collegiate team aka "Texas Bhangra." They've been around probably the longest out of any Texas team although they change rosters completely every few years due to people graduating (among other reasons). Co-ed team.

San Antonio (roughly 5 hours away), has a fairly new independent team (although most of the people are associated with UTSA) called "Republic Of Bhangra." Co-ed team.

These are most "established" teams in Texas. I have a few contacts for each one of these team if you need it. Been around the scene down here for quite some time, so let me know if I can help in any other way.

Jagdeep,

We are Nishani Punjab Di (Co-ed), a Dallas based bhangra team. Some of the former members of Sheran Di Kaum formed this team in Feb this year. We are relatively new on the circuit and would be happy to have you strengthen our team. Hit us up when you get here.

Hey Jagdeep,

My name is Sonny and I'm the captain of a professional Dallas based bhangra team. We were established last year in August by a bunch of guys that just love dancing. Since then, we've performed over 40 times for charity events, weddings, birthday parties, competitions, talent shows, and melas.

We consistently work with the people who basically run the Indian community's events, Funasia, and have a number of sponsors from around the city that support us.

If you're interested in joining us, check us out on facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dallas-De-Gabroo/134850343274441 or at our website: http://www.wix.com/dallasdegabroo/2012

We were previously an all guys team (and still perform with all guys sometimes as per client request) but have added girls to the team. We're looking for good guys to take the place of a few of my best dancers and since you have so much experience, you probably have some things you can teach us.

Let me know if you're interested! Hit me up at 769-798-5216
