I think Acid Pro works for Mac, if not Mac designed Logic Studio which is better than Garage Band.

I just got a Mac on Saturday, was about to ask this question. The only software to mix on there is Garageband, but then I did a little search and there was something called Logic Studio which is best software to mix on the mac.

audacity works real well.  some of the dj softwares are realll good if u want to use a dj software.. but there isn't anything as legit as acid or magix for mac yet to mix music.  Garage band and audacity will be as close as u'll get.

garbage band is lame, I asked this question when I got my Mac too I had to make a mix for a comp and its pretty impossible to mix songs together unless they're the exact same speed already, its also a pain sorting out volume levels and transitions etc, even fading out has to be done manually! lol my suggestion is download bootcamp or parallels get windows on your mac and only use it when you need to use acid or something else windwos specific, that's what I do and it works fine for me :)

try the new Final Cut Studio 2 - soundtrack pro 2!
I personally haven't tried it but the interface looks pretty sick and workable for mixes.
you will have to download the bootleg version though lol cuz the whole software it self is like 500 bucks!

i did some messin around with garage band, and there is alota stuff on this program that isn't right in front of your nose.  There are a ton of effects and things you can do to the music.  PM me for the details.  but the only thing you cant do with garage band is slow down or speed up a song.  But i got audacity which does that so, if you use those two programs, you can basically do anything on macss

I can tell you dont mix :D

umm... how can you tell that pritpal? he's actually correct...

But another option, guys, is Ableton. It's VERY DIFFERENT tho, but a powerful program. I couldn't really deal with it after mixcraft (i was experimenting), but def has capability.
Guardians?.... you're a good team...

I actually do mix pritpal.  I prefer to use magix which i feel is the easiest program to use but its only for windows.  So wen im home i use that, when im at school i use my laptop(mac).

bootcamp + acid pro or mixcraft haha

sorry i can't be more help parul, i only video edit on macs. My advice is youtube, there are a ton of acid pro tutorials, i'm sure it's same for garageband

also Kush is right, ableton is a production tool that used by many famous professionals for mixing, djing, etc so it's a good option (takes a while to learn but worth it)
