How To Use MixMeister to create long mixes
« on: October 14, 2010, 11:16:35 AM »
1. Download MixMeister ("MM")

2. Pull songs into "MM" Library

3. Let MM beatmap and pitch match everything for you

4. Arange songs by BPM, I like to go from lowest to highest. Be wary of Doubled or Halved BPMs...i.e. songs that get beatmapped at 180 BPM, are probably actually only 90 BPM. Can fix this by right clicking on the song and going into some properties window and manually setting the BPM. They even have a 1/2x and a 2x button.

5. Once songs are BPM sorted, use Mixmeister predefined 8 beat fades to set where you want to start and end your songs fade for Song 1 and then do the same for Song 2. Continue to do this for all songs until it sounds good.

6. For added bonus and creativity, arrange songs within certain BPM levels (i.e. 90-100) by Key (i.e. A, B, C#, etc.)

7. Publish song and make it look so easy.

This can be used for any type of songs - bhangra, house, hip hop - anything with like standard beat notations mostly 4/4 time works best.

Virtual DJ - Audacity - and then Garageband to master it. Thats what I do for quick mixes.
When I'm going in hard like Rick Ross I use SoundTrack Pro
