also is the venue/official hotel on the strip? if so, kudos to that! those Vegas shows are nuts with the Jabbawockeez, Lion King, etc

You should def push this to late March or early April and you will have a swarm of teams applying.

Still pretty cool in Vegas. Beginning of May. That way, the bhangra season ends with sin (Wegas) and sunshine (Bruin-LA weather)

I don't see why vpd on the same day is such a huge deal. There are still SO many teams that can apply to the comp including all the west coast teams that are not going to be present at VPD. If I recall correctly Warrior and Blowout were on the same day back in 2010 and both still had great line-ups. As far as Elite 8 being the next week there are only 8 or 9 teams, albeit amazing ones, performing there anyway which again leaves so many other teams to apply, compete, and then go see Elite 8 the next week

The fact that this competition is in Vegas means teams will be coming out of the woodwork to apply regardless of another competition, on the other side of the country, being on the same day. Just my opinion.

Number of West Coast teams competing at VPD=0
I feel like everyone's pissing themselves because its a comp in vegas, but its also a first year comp and will likely heavily draw from the west coast.

Free tip: If you want to go to Vegas, just go. You don't need a bhangra competition.
