BABC at DDA XII???

Just wondering but i heard Bay Area Bhangra Club applied to this competition? Why weren't they allowed in? They clearly qualify to be in a competition which is based on traditionality. They have won competitions in the past even placing first against a even tougher line up than this.

Yes one of the members already posted that on this site, making him look pretty silly

1. The competition owes no explanation to anyone, the public especially
2. The competition should provide feedback to BABC if the team asks for it
3. There are always factors non-bhangra related that account for decisions
4. Being a new member means you are automatically put in the "troll" category since your first post is about why a team did not get into a comp. Please prove this wrong by continuing to post and contribute positively to the site

Also, private message the DDA board if you really care THAT much. Otherwise please don't turn btf into a gossip site (it is plenty capable of doing that on it's own)

Absolutely no bashing on BABC bc i think they are amazing.  But the same issue came up with burgh and pioneer.  There were probably many teams that applied and are of caliber to compete and place at the competition.  But the competition needs east coast teams.  They need co-ed teams.  They need local teams.  They need live teams.  All girls teams.  Exhibition acts.  There is soo much that goes into the selection process, especially for such a popular competition like DDA.  Since DDA doesnt do sections (live/modern etc) they have to fit everything under one.  Sure they may look idiotic at times bc babc would make the lineup better, but organizers try to do their best to attract large crowds, and put on the best show for the people that come.
