The Raas Rave and Bhangra Blitz Committee at Southern Methodist University is proud to announce the Bhangra Blitz lineup. With over 25 applications from all over North America, it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to only 6 teams! We appreciate all the applications and your continued support. Without further ado, the lineup -

I thought it was only 2 out of 6. "Texas Bhangra BU Bhangra" are two seperate teams that are just grouped on the same line in the original post.

I'm guessing that DCBC & PANJ are the only girl teams. MSU would have specified if it was only their girls performing.

Thanks for the clarfication Sunny. Are you sure it's their all girls team performing though?

When they performed & won at Kollaborations in October of this year, they performed with a co-ed squad. Like I said earlier, they usually specify at competitions if their "MSU Girls" squad is competing.

I have been saying it for a long time, but the circuit is in dire straits and is badly in need of competitions like blitz. Newer teams need competitive outlets in order to improve, learn and exchange ideas. Tiered competition structures are absolutely necessary to break some of the competitive monopolies and in order to foster a new batch of regions, teams and dancers. I urge regional universities to continue and work hard to promote bhangra amongst new/collegiate/small market teams. This is in no way an insult to these teams, and some aren't exactly new. The bottom line is, I am really happy that THIS competition picked THESE teams. Good luck.

MSU last year at R2B2 was also all girls but i dont remember if they had classified seperately as MSU Girls but i don't think they did

Kollaboration was an on-campus event. Competing wise, we're still an all girls team. Our team name is "MSU Bhangra" but sometimes people will refer to us as "MSU Girls." I hope that answers your question! Also, congrats to all the teams and we can't wait to meet you all in February!
