Bro honestly, I agree with you on this particular person, whether he/she is Patel or not (and keep in mind he/she was 1 out of the 6 judges there).... all I am saying is that this is NOW more of a modern competition, but it hasn't always been so ('04 Rutgers (one of the first teams to do a live co-ed traditional segment) got 1st, '05 The Bhangra Team (one of the teams who helped in the transformation in many modern to traditional teams) got 1st, '06 Duniya Alstars (only all live team at the competition) got 1st). 07' was very controversial year, because of DRP placing first (not that I have anything against them), and Shan-E-Punjab tying for third with MIT. But for the past two years it has become pretty obvious that this isn't the same type of competition it was 4, 5, and 6 years ago. What I say is just that it sucks to hear people complaining after every competition on how the judging was crap, I love to dance and play dhol, and that's how I see bhangra, doing something you love to do, just my two bits bro, I see where ur coming from though...

but yea, i second Monti with that suggestion, gona be a good time, if your in the New England region, and or generaly north half of the east coast haha and can make it, do it up. non participants are coming from as far as virginia and dc metro area by car.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK to all the teams for this coming weekend at Boston Bhangra!!  This is the second time ( last was 2007) that I won't be able to attend. For those who have an option to go there.. PLEASE GO since its an amazing competition.
Also, good luck to my boys Sher Foundation!! ... can't wait once again for everyone to hear our mix on stage... this is something that we are most proud off..
Besides that... If you guys love to eat... Chow Chows and Typhoon are amazing places to go too in boston

If Typhoon was the place we went last year with some of the BMW crew as well at like 3 in the morning, then yes, I agree, great place! And Boston seems noticeably colder now that it realizes that Monti will not be gracing it with his presence.

Nonetheless, I look around me and only one thought crosses my mind - It's gonna be an fucking epic weekend. I'm trying to get Mass General to have a liver on standby for me. Anyone else want thinks they're gonna need one?
