Justin, I think, I'm not 100% though, that they're still going to cap the number of teams to 8, so maybe one of the regions has 3 instead of 2, and another one only gets 1

This is the best approach. The weakest region should be docked a team, and the strongest region should get an extra team. Plus it keeps the show even shorter! woo hoo. (bhangra competitions are way too long as it is)

From what I have heard, the number of teams is still capped at 8. I think one of these two scenarios will happen:

1. What Nikhil said
2. 2 teams from each region except one of them, they'll have only 1. The remaining team (wild card) will come from an unrepresented area. (An example of a unrepresented area, as in Not US East/West & Canada East/West, could be from the midwest USA).

I think what Nikhil said is more likely to happen. Some of these regions have more than 2 really good teams, and a third might come from one of them.

Personally, I think either Canada or US East will have 3 teams coming from one of those regions.

I think they'll be announcing the first Canada East team tonight.

If I remember correctly, they first announced US West (APD), then Canada West, and US East (JJ). (Not sure if they did a US East first, then the Canada West). But I think they'll be announcing one team from each region before going to do the second team from a region with a team already announced this year. (Sorry if that doesn't make sense, just really tired from studying for finals. Basically I think they'll announce a Canada East team tonight, and if they do I think it will be SGPD, and then they'll go back to the other regions and begin announcing the region's second team.)
