honestly, i don't want to start a movement against elite 8 (even though you all might think i do).  I'm just a disappointed bhangra fan who wanted to see all his favorite teams (well almost) to compete at this comp.  Now it's just, different.  It's still a good comp that I could see UNC winning.  Let's see...

Well, it's gonna be different, that's for sure. Interesting to see a new college team coming up this year.

NO MORE DROPS, KTHX. Any of the remaining teams drop out and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I'm not gonna be getting tix.

elite 8s criteria for invites is so arbitrary and contradictory...also they ban teams for 2 years if they drop...so no jw and pcbca at elite for two years hurts elite, not those teams...

elite 8 is a good comp, but their confused selection process and announcement process is their biggest weakness...teams prepare sets to offset against other teams, and when those teams drop 5 weeks before the comp, u should replace them with a similar team, thats common sense. There are now 4 teams from 1 region at elite, and zero from another, thats just silly and shows a lack of foresight (or a desire to sell tickets). The regional nature of this comp is completely lost now, and thats a shame.

careful deliberation to ignore canada west? its prob more like no one was willing to accept this late, lets be honest.

three elite 8s, three nonsensical sets of selections. year of the wildcard, more like year of 4 us east teams.

smh.

Wooo UNC!! Let's go collegiate co-eds!!  Though I'm glad the diversity of elite 8 has just increased (in gender ratios and style of dance), its sad to see another team drop

It really sucks to see all these teams drop but I'm just happy to see UNC FINALLY get recognized.  They really deserve  this opportunity, regardless of how stupidly late E8 is willing to give it to them...Good luck to all of you!

PS, next year E8 is just going to be 8 east coast teams. 2 from northeast, 2 from NY, 2 from DMVNC, and 2 from southeast... What west coast team will come back after this?

Yeah it sucks to see two elite teams like nj and pcbca drop, but UNC was totally deserving of a bid and there are quite a few teams on the east coast that do deserve to be at the competition. It'll be fun either way, people will still be there, and I have no doubt UNC will still put on a great show.

Wtf, I know NJ dropped but when and why did PCBCA drop as well? They had a great performance last year.

Congrats to UNC! Though I will definitely miss PCBCA, this team deserved it for sure.
