You have two options: Go for a base color or don't.
A base color means that it is common to all dancers. For example, the same color kurta or the same color vest for everything and that you differentiate on something else for rangla scheme.
In order of usage for the base color:
1. White
2. Black
3. Gray
4. Light Gold
Do something different.
If you want to go base color and are confident in your sexuality, go for light pink!
Or don't be flamboyant and awesome and go for light blue or light green or whatever...
If you don't go base color, avoid the skip a color in the rainbow scheme. Way too overdone!
For example, if you have the rainbow Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet, some teams will go:
1. Red Yellow
2. Orange Green
3. Blue Violet(/Pink)
