NU Bhangra @ BBC 09
« on: November 20, 2009, 12:19:51 AM »
Hello everyone,

I have posted Northeastern’s video from BBC.  NU has been around for a while now, however because we haven’t traveled too much out of the Boston area, you may have not heard of us.  We are looking for opportunities to travel this upcoming semester.  By posting this video my hope is to receive some feedback along with some constructive criticism, so we can better improve our set for future performances.  Thank you in advance.

PS  due to last minute mix modifications we were not able to practice with the updated mix so our opening is a bit off.

Great ideas but you need to slow down fellaz. Work on form and dancing as a team before getting into such intricate choreo.

You should limit the number of Gujaratis on your team. :)

I agree slow down a bit and stay in your formations for a few beats so we can see whats happening. You have some good ideas keep it up.

Vardiyan-practise tying your chadre those were way too high and get the girls to wear the colored salwars but use these chunnis then you will be able to see distinct jodis hence making you look cleaner :)

hahahah I dance for Gaurav on NU Bhangra lol. (didn't do this performance, though) A good amount of the dancers are Gujju and they're hella good. More of an inside joke - C'mon Kush, you should have picked up on it. ;)

You guys tore it up, great jobs, I really liked it. I think if you got uniforms with less colors/combinations/variations it would make the dance look a little cleaner. As it is right now its hard to acknowledge symmetry and formations with that much going on. The formations themselves were also great, just clean them up a little bit, the more precise you can be the exponentially better your performance will be. Someone else commented on speed/choreo. I thought it was a good tempo, it seemed like you guys can pull it off, but again, with speed like that you need to make sure its completely on point, because even minor deviations will make it look sloppy. Keep it up, I see tons of potential. This looks like it was a great competitions with alot of great teams.
The camel with the two humps is the good one.
