Thank You for the update, Nitin. I look forward to seeing the lineup for the 2010 show

Also, can you clarify something for me. I know a team whom has already been rejected, whom was also told at an earlier date they would be accepted. Respectfully, when an inquiry was sent for a logical explanation regarding the reason for rejection, we were told there was an overwhelming number of applicants. I also learned that a "voting" took place, which entailed members of the Pioneer Bhangra board reviewing past videos of applicant teams to determine who be admissed into this years show. This to me, is also known as judging. I would appreciate to learn what these judging points were.

I look forward to a respectul and positive discussion about this. It will clearly help all teams prepare themselves for future show's.

If you call this judging, then how does a competition selected a number of teams, lets say 20-30 teams? Seems like this team is trying to pull their strings in all areas. And no one told them that they were in. I advised that they were one of the first 3 teams to apply, which does not indicate that they are in. Applying to a competition, does not mean you are automatically in.

I understand when there is a large number of applicants, some sort of judgment must take place to determine which team is more deserving of a performance slot at a show. However, all I would like to know is what was the criteria for this judgement?

For example, was it the track record of a team? The number of dancers, cleanliness of performance or traditional/non traditional aspects? This team is not pulling strings, brother. Please do not make any accusations as such. I was told about this earlier this evening and acted upon myself to inquire about this.

It was a hard decision for Pioneer Bhangra committee to choose the teams since there were lot of applicants this year. and I hope people will like our team line up.

I too would love to be able to broadcast this to everyone just like we did last year. However, preliminary discussions have been strictly to have GTV there. We have not spoken of live streaming, nor do I know if the venue has this capability. There is no guarantee that it will be streamed so buy your tickets before it sells out, again!

Can't wait to see everybody...Should be a good fun competition.

Must say I'm dissapointed that Apna Virsa isn't in the competition. I dunno if it was due to selection or due to them not applying, but either way they should be in the competition. They are a legit live team. But either way can't wait....Bruuah
