DAMN dudee.....we used to have 3 practices a week, 2 hours each and before competitions CRAM

but this year and last year captains changed it to a SET 4 timess a week 2 hours each (except sunday which is 3 hours) EVEN BEFORE competitions so that people's scedule's dont get fucked up...but going along with that we ARE a colllege team and in some ways it harder to find times to practice bc of classes, recitations, labs etc...but in other ways its easier bc we're all on campus....

But DAMN man....SGPD practicing that much....its like bhangra becomes your job, life AND your wife.....not that I would mind doing bhangra for a living

I've sent this thread to my team to show them how easy they have it

Being at MIT, nobody has any time. If it's: stay for practice an extra half hour vs. going back to study, priorities are understood. In the same manner, this works well because those who devote to the team have a genuine interest (because time is so precious).

I'd love to have practice every day, but we have to settle for only 7 hours a week, which ends up being 6 hours because people are late constantly and I yell. Then I spend my remaining free during the week time stressing out, as I'm sure all other captains do...*sigh* the life of a captain is so different than being just a dancer...
