hahaha looks like a lot of people have this video. Might as well post it. their groundshaker set, although messy, was so much better than this in my opinion. I'll refrain from critiquing it though as it will probably yield for another argument on btf haha. I will say one thing though, and it is strictly my opinion: The SGPD style - overload on formations, hyper energy, super sped up music, etc, are getting boring. I know you guys are skilled as hell. Probably the most skilled team out there. Show us a different side to your skill rather than displaying hyper bhangra time and again. Its one dimensional and repetitive. You can do it.

gotta go with the meistro man here...i love everything about sgpd sets...but they are getting one dimensional and repetitive...i just wanna see this team evolve a bit...change it up...maybe go for more grace and lets speed...

Agreeeee here.

I watched the video.

The dancers have some crazy stamina and the sets are very entertaining and I loved the mix, but some of the moves are just soooo crazy wild bhangra.  This crazy energy is not making room for graceful moves by a lot of the dancers.

The formations are great though lots of creative ideas and SGPD always has something new in each set!

Moderator's Note: Video removed by team's request.

i personally think masti was overall a better set; but this set had some intense ideas in the prop segments especially.  i think the stunt during the kabaddi beat didn't really hit that well considering other teams do some crazy ass stunts.  but on the contrary to what meistro said, if you look at the saap segment that wasn't crazy fast; it was actually at a moderate tempo.  just a couple thoughts.

Same here..i still watch ground shaker 2, masti 3 and PFDF til this day. SGPD's style aint gettin borin..they always bring it to the stage and they don't disappoint. When SGPD went live..everyone(or most) wanted them to go back to music and now that they did..why should they change their style of dancing just cause some people think its boring? Obviously it aint getting boring if there still winning comps...Congrats boysssssss:)

Groundshaker set was the craziest set that SGPD has done in my opinion... and this has been mentioned before by other people but SGPD has a winning strategy that's worked for the past several modern comps lol think about it they swept idols so why ruin something that's working? They went live to evolve themselves and although there team did not have success in the placings it was something different and plus their dancers got better aswell so i dunno what people are expecting, only thing i can say is that a lot of stuff was repetative in the set which is probably why people wanna see something new, nonetheless congratz on winning first and bringin the trophy to tdot ahah

I disagree with the past few comments. It was so refreshing for me to see that sgpd had slowed down their set by a lot compared to the previous routines. It wasnt sgpd on fast forward, doing 100 formations with 200 spins.

At idols the origional sgpd came back, the Burgh/Masti 08(my fav routine) team. It was slower, it was more graceful and it was soo clean that everyones toes were prolly in place, even the way the katos moved was nsync.

They dont let things get boring, we as observers of sgpd have such high expectations of them that it has become hard to impress us. At every competition they usually never do the same move the same way it was done at the previous competion. The kicks were different, always a different formation for the jumps.

In my opinion they started off the best, then went crazy high on energy and wowed us and now are back to just wow us with ' bhangra' and show off the actual talent that the team really has. At this competition they showed us how bhangra is actually done, every single folk move was executed and completed to perfection and has a sense of simplicity.

I think sgpd has re-discoverd themselves after going live and now will show the world that yea ,they can kick ass with leprechaun kicks and crazy jumps but can also kick ass just by doing simple fasla and phumniya as well.

:)

Agreed. Dude Meistro, I think they showed us more of their talent when they went live. Their AVAP set may have been a bit out there but their following live segment was amazing. It takes a lot for a team that was winning and placing at every competition to be step back and try something completely new like live. Now that, in my opinion, is real talent.

As long as they give us a live segment here and there and then one of these crazy music routines every year, I will give them mad respect.
