1. Lots of comps in february, money limits teams into making strategic decision
2. Keep in mind that a lot of teams don't like to go to combined comps like this

We (CMU) on the other hand are looking forward to a kickass time with a lot of different teams.

Everyone move on, please. There's so much bhangra happening in Jan/Feb just get excited instead of trying to find something wrong with every comp

+1

Agreed and thanks Swi.
On side note, Terrier Bhangra is BU Bhangra (Not Boston College) and we look forward to making up from an "average" performance at BBC as well as competing with everyone especially CMU and Hopkins

On behalf of my team, no offense taken! We know we do not have the opportunity to compete as much as I would want to (both due to opportunity and availability of team) and so we are excited to continue the 2009-2010 BU Bhangra Season as well as part take in the first SAS experience. its always been my view to take it every critique positively so hearing anythign about our team just makes us want to work more and hopefully jump out of the average category.

A lot of the Boston dancers that come together on the independent teams (Boston Bhangra for example) take the fall to lead their own school teams. For the last couple years (for BU) it has been tough to keep a team past BBC due to conflicts and so to have a team going into the spring is huge for me haha. As far as the BBC performance, while it is tough to create a brand new routine and teach it to a brand new team in two months along with other commitments (One captain in neuroscience and the other, myself, in medical school severely limits time) that is no excuse! I hope we are able to step up to the challenge and not just represent our city at the competition but also kick our Bhangra Rep up another level!

haha sorry for the confusion,

Terrier Bhangra = Boston University Bhangra (from BBC), one of the collegiate teams in the city
BU has always had difficulty maintaining a full roster in the spring.

Boston Bhangra = Independent Team of Boston (Competitive team of BBC)
Last 2 years BB has only performed in the spring so lots of dancers from the collegiate teams that want to continue        performing tryout and perform with them.

Hope that clears it up!
