Srujan 2012 Registration is Now Open!!!

Dear Prospective Srujan Participants,

The Ohio State University’s Indian Students Association (ISA) and the Indian American Association (IAA), in collaboration with the South Asian Students Association (SASA) proudly present Srujan 2012 on Saturday April 7, 2012 on Ohio State’s campus in Columbus, Ohio. We would like to thank you for your interest in Srujan!

Srujan, begun by the Indian Students Association, provides a competitive atmosphere for the best South Asian dance teams to compete for a cash prize. Srujan aims to forge new ties amongst universities and South Asian communities while creating unforgettable memories. Additionally, Srujan hopes to raise a considerable donation for The Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

In the past year, Srujan went ahead and changed its format by having two separate categories for bhangra and fusion dance teams. Keeping this in mind, this year we will be taking Srujan in the same direction. At Srujan 2012, bhangra and fusion will be judged as two separate categories with teams competing for the top prize in their respective genres.
 
Enclosed is the preliminary registration packet for Srujan 2012. You will find information regarding deadlines, rules and regulations, judging criteria, audition video submission as well as the registration fee. Extremely professional and accomodating organization, they took care of every single request we had from registration to driving back home. Anytime we had an issue, we were quickly greeted by the committee and had it sorted out. Awesome group, awesome comp

It is a mixed comp, but with a separate bhangra category that's not a big deal, and you have the benefit of chilling with non-bhangra teams for a change of pace. Definitely recommend to any team that is looking for a fun, low-key time with a very enthusiastic audience.

Shoutout to Ronak, he was amazing last year (as was whole committee) and should have everything on lock for another great performance.
