Well, the Gujurati folk dance is actually not too different from bhangra! The traditional music, clean formations, and adding a modern twist are all part of North American Garba competitions as well. UC Irvine presents the annual Garba With Attitude: in it's 10th year, teams from all over the U.S. will compete in Southern California for a placing as well as a bid for Best of the Best. If you are in the area, don't miss out on the chance to experience a new dance form and meet people from all over the nation!
