Hey guys Im gonna be doing a little dhol project over christmas break and I want to know what kind of varnish I should use If I want a clear finish ( water based, oil based etc) since im not a fan of the yellow varnish to give you guys an Idea of what Kind of finish im going for here`s a pic of a dhol with clear varnish I just need to know what type I need      PLS NOTE im not buy the dhols posted below their just examples of what kind of finish I want from the varnish any help is appreciated
the dhol on the left hand side of your screen is basically what im going to be basing my dhol off of( the one with designs) so in the end I don`t want the designs to get distorted
