terrible news. I went to Melbourne last winter (their summer) and the place is so chill and metropolitan. A lot of Punjabi immigrants are there who came on student visas but are basically just working in all the kitchen, back end dirty jobs that native born Australians don't want to take. what a blemish on a city that is actual pretty tight and welcoming to immigrants
