Riverside Gurudwara is just a bunch of pro-khalistan folks aswell. The chairman killed his wife and left his son he had with her back in Vancouver, then came to cali and re-married, the whole desi community here knows it and that hes also a hardcore alcoholic. Back in the day I remember when they still had a trailer home in the back for one of the baba's a bunch of kids found a porn mag under the bed and one of their mothers got ahold of it. Way too many secrets there, and fights are nothing new.

A lot of that is true.  The problem is the sangat likes to turn a blind eye to it.  The only time anyone did speak out against him, the uncle got a restraining order and couldn't come to the gurdwara. It has become a court issue now (LONG STORY) and he's still on it.  He was a part of the committee, found out about the murder/etc and tried telling the rest of the committee and sangat, and it all blew up from there.  Nowadays, the sangat is all new. A lot of people have moved from LA to Riverside, and so not very many people are aware or even know about this.  The original families don't go to Gurdwara as often anymore, as most of us kids have grown up, moved away, etc. I don't rmr the porn mag scandal, but we have had plenty. Also, it used to not be pro-khalistan, that's actually a pretty recent development.

That guy is literally crazy, once he got really drunk at a little get together that my dad was at aswell and he went outside of the house and just let off two rounds (why he was carrying a gun at a get-together I donnu lol) that's part of the reason everyone was scared of him cause they all knew he had guns. We used to actually go to his house he would have BBQ's going guy was the biggest fake. Last I heard was his son he left behind is grown and looking for him

Hahaha, WHO ARE YOU? We probably grew up going to Riverside together. Lol.  And yes, that guy is nuts. I mean most of the board is nuts. They don't really care about what is going on at the gurdwara, come only for bigger holidays, and then the committee members it seems are crazy for Khalistan. Rside has changed. I loved it growing up, coming back from college, it's like a whole new atmosphere! But hey, it's a gurdwara. At the end of the day, just nice to go and listen to some Kirtan. Naid Bhaisaab is sooo good. =)

I have always followed one quote:

Avval Allah Noor Upaya Qudrat Keh Sub Banday (God Created Light Of Which All The Beings Were Born)
Aik Noor Keh Sub Jag Upajiya Kaun Bhale Ko Mandhe (From The Light, The Universe. So Who Is Good And Who Is Bad)
-Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

I don't know why people do this, totally makes no sense. Little kids or even friends of my age will ask me, who are you? Jatt or Lubana? Hindu ya Sikh? Does ones religion matter in friendship?

Recognize the Lord's Light (Spirit) within all, and do not consider social class or status; there are no classes or castes in the world hereafter (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 349).

At the end of it to these kind of people only your caste matters =|
