so about the new layout...the words can be accessed easily because the word up top becomes a link but the question answers that they have posted can't be reached it just links to the other persons tumblr and stuff??? it would be easier if the whole box could become a link (i thougth it was tht at first because the box actually interacts to your cursor position)
just my 2 cents

I just learned how to read punjabi this summer, and punjabi refill has been helping a lot with new vocabulary. Thanks for linking it up. I was looking at the apnaorg, and most of the books/novels on there are pretty advanced (for me at least). I can understand grammar and construction because of my Hindi, but I was wondering if anyone might know about somewhere (online or otherwise) where I could access simpler books/text written in gurmukhi

Thanks

It'd be great if there was some sort of iPhone app for this! Yes, I know I'm lazy to check the website day-to-day....but if I had an app that notified me on my phone daily about the new word of the day, I'd definitely check it.

I'm also sure there are certain people like my father, for example, who would like to expand their Punjabi vocabulary but cannot use the computer fluently. In such a case, a simple user-friendly iPhone app interface would be preferable and reach a wider audience (I believe).

...just a thought for potential expansion!

If you have a semi-large gurdwara near you, stop by on a sunday and find the sunday school. I'm sure someone will help you out.

For anyone looking for language resources, there is a great online dictionary: http://dic.learnpunjabi.org/Default.aspx

and other resources to be found here:
http://www.learnpunjabi.org/

and especially here: http://www.learnpunjabi.org/intro1.asp
for beginners. Check out the childrens' stories.

One of the co-founders of Punjabi Refill was interviewed for an online magazine. Check it out:
