use www.vixy.net, you can take youtube/flv to avi or just the (terrible youtube quality) mp3 audio, etc.

the remix with kanye is a 100 times better...I had a poll up of who they would rather listen to kanye or lil wayne but since I didn't get a response I kinda just removed it....buttt seriously...the original blows, the remix is sick.

dude, lollipop is a terrible song!  lil wayne actually dumbed himself down quite a bit to put out that album hyping song.  on top of that, he managed to synthesize his voice, which seems to be a crappy trend that's been runnin lately.  I wasn't even a fan of A Millie when it first came out, but after he sold that mill in the first week, he released a remix of it with Jay-Z and those lyrics are straight fire.  I sure hope The Carter 3 isn't a bunch of stupid completely ignorant crap, lil wayne is much better than that

Ambarish download Mr. Carter its off the Carter III it features jay z and it is really good, the rest of the album is decent, but not what I expected from hearing all his excellent mixtapes...he wastes some of his talent on them.

Lil Wayne is so overrated its insane. The guy has the balls to call himself the greatest rapper alive, yet he has a total of 0 classic albums, and 0 classic songs. He isn't even the best from the South. Outkast=GOAT of the South, and Ludacris comes in at the number two spot.

Wayne relies on corny similes. You can hear, "im like...", or "my flow like" or "my swag like" and anticipate an elementary punchline. I mean, seriously, does this guy even make coherent songs? Its just a bunch of random, unconnected thoughts punctuated with a typical sexual innuendo or mindless gun talk. He is one of the many rappers who rely on this dumb concept of "swag" to cover up his clear lack of lyricism. Guys get by acting hard and dont even have to master the art of rap anymore.

Greatest alive? Please. Last I checked Nas, Mos Def, Andre 3000, Big Boi, Lupe Fiasco, Big Daddy Kane, KRS1, Jay Z, Common, Black Thought, Dead Prez, Immortal Technique, Eminem, Killah Priest, Talib Kweli, Jeru the Damaja, Method Man, Redman, Chuck D, Rakim, RZA and MANY MORE are still alive.

I am gonna have to disagreee on how hard you are comin down on him there bro. Lil Wayne is probably the most prolific mixtape rapper EVER.

    * 2003: Da Drought
    * 2004: Da Drought 2
    * 2004: The Prefix
    * 2005: Dedication
    * 2005: The Suffix
    * 2006: Dedication 2
    * 2006: Blow: I Cant Feel My Face Prequel (w. Juelz Santana)
    * 2007: Da Drought 3
    * 2007: None Higher
    * 2007: Happy Father's Day (w. Birdman)

PARTICULARLY THE DROUGHT 3...a situation where he gets on probably 18 different tracks and for the great majority flows on them better than the original artist. Yes, to say that he is the best alive is a huge stretch, but you are severely downplaying some of his word play. Yes, He loves metaphors and some of the simple stuff but he does and has shown the ability to go deeper...if you want a real comparison...I can send you Lil Wayne on Jay Z's track Public Service Announcement, as well as Clarity... he clearly shows his lyrical ability deeper than metaphors ON A BEAT that you can compare him to one of the greatest. His gritty lyrics are what is causing you to play him off...just take a second listen...still I agree partially that...his swag is what is getting him in the discussion, but in thisss rap game....swag takes you incredibly far...especially when that swag is reflected in your lyrics.

I am going to have to say that the best hip hop album to come out recently has been Lupe Fiasco's The Cool, for those of you who are into hip hop and haven't heard it, checkk it out...Lupe Fiasco is every thing, be it probably the only thing, that is right with hip hop today.

But the thing is, you listed all mixtapes...in which he doesnt have to make great music. The standard for a mixtape is far less than for an actual CD. He thrives on mixtapes because he doesnt have to be a real lyricist, he can string together a bunch of punchlines unrelated to the last one and people will listen to it, find 1 or 2 half decent lines and proclaim he is a great rapper.

"his swag is what is getting him in the discussion, but in thisss rap game....swag takes you incredibly far...especially when that swag is reflected in your lyrics."- I agree here man...and personally I could care less about another guy's swag, I just like good music.

But hey, everyone has their own opinion. I guess thats the beauty of music, everyone has a different taste.

Harman you are the man for your post.

I agree with what you said 100%.

The top 5 rappers in my opinion are:

1) Blackstar
2) Common
3) OutKast
4) Lupe Fiasco
5) KRS 1

Common over Mos Def..interestinggg....I would have to go with...

1. Nas
2. Rakim
3. Mos Def
4. Jay Z
5. 2 pac....

I am actually surprised that 2 pac wasn't in your top 5 nikhil....he wasss pretty good hahahah....then again, there are way too many..you could make an argument for anyone Harman mentioned...BIG and Eminem particularly...don't know where they fall...gotta be in the discussion though. Yes, I know Lil Wayne is not in this discussion and will never be rightfully so...but he is playing the part of Mr. RightNow until someone comes and destroys him...just like with what happened to Ja Rule and 50 cent...
