I will never understand people like these. They're blaming the singers/lyricists (understandable) BUT what about the girls who go into these videos? They have every right to say NO to w/e they're not comfortable with. It's a two way street, don't blame only the singers/lyricists.Another thing that blows my mind is that THIS got protests BUT the sarpanch who slapped the girl.. what about that? & these are the same people talking about respect for women (correct me if I'm wrong about the outcome of that)I could go on and on about this but I'll stop =|

There have been protests in regards to that too. It is not as if this is the only issue people care about. I am willing to bet that the people protesting the way in which women are portrayed in the Punjabi music industry are also the ones protesting many other relevant issues. Regarding the blame, yes there is plenty to go around. But just because some girls are in the music video or some like the song doesn't mean there is any less of a problem with the direction the industry is going.
