What I would like to know is why did it take so long for the mods to lock the thread titles "Dear Mr Vick"? It was locked after 66 posts! You know how many btf "rules" were broken just by the first post? I have nothing against new york bhangra teams, but I seriously think they've gotten out of hand are just losing peoples respect. There are actually a couple of people on the two main teams that I have respect for (G. Sidhu and Campy) and its just really unappreciated to see how these teams could be so pompous and immature. Keep your composure and show some class. Funny thing is, not only do punjabi guys in general act invincible when they're in a group in public, but they act the exact same way online. They are nothing without their groups, they're actually like little field mice. So yea, it would be nice to just see all this new york pretentiousness put to an end. thanks.

I agree with you. That kinda stuff should have no place on BTF and we should all be above it.

Hi Meistro,

It has nothing to do with being about Vick or not. The first post was at 10:41pm (EST). It was locked 48 minutes later. In that time, it doesnt matter how many posts were made (it seems everyone was on btf huh), but the following facts remain:

1- it took under one hour on the evening of a holiday for mods to see the offense, discuss it (Waldo called me), and lock it.
2- not ONE of you hit that little "Report to moderator" link that was on each of the 66 posts to help notify us.

We try our very best to remain objective. I dont care if a flame thread is against Vick or anyone else. As such, the thread is gone, and lists are being made for moderator actions. Waleed will be announcing some new changes on the Punishment side of BTF, so that such garbage does not go unpunished.

I believe a moderator actually posted in the thread well before 48 minutes lapsed... It still wasn't locked for another 20-25 minutes after the first mod noticed it. I don't see what there is to discuss between mods when it comes to a thread like that, wasn't it pretty obvious? I don't blame the mods, I found the thread to be humorous in many ways, but the I guess the quick trigger fingers go on vacation when threads are directed towards certain people?

Vick,

You are correct, Jeeti commented on the thread 25 min in. He realizes he should have locked it. The newest member of the moderators team always feels a bit hesitant (he hoped it would blow over) and wants to consult with the other mods before taking action. In time I'm sure he'll be more comfortable in laying down the Jeeti smackdown.

yall swear like the mods stay online 24/7. they have their own lives too. theres only a handful of them cut them some slack

thanks for the clarification saleem. I didn't see the thread until after it was locked so I didn't get a chance to click the "report to moderator" button. I think more should be done about these threads and to specific members if it a recurring problem and not just simply locking the thread.

funny story a bunch of us were having dinner with waleed when he called saleem and i overheard them bickering over some btf business(that thread)

guys seriously these mods have lives they are not online 24/7 give them a breakkkkkk
