Ron artest g oin to the lakers is gonna make the team deeper, but IMHO Celtics > Lakers, Rasheed Wallace is gonna bring another big presence down low, and with KG back its gonna be on.

Not to thread jack, but I only hope our young guys on the heat, Chalmers and Beasley, do well enough for Wade not to cop out next summer, at which point i have a feeling Bosh will be wearing a heat jersey by the end of the trade period.
Guardians?.... you're a good team...

Old. Wallace has lost lots of steps the last couple of years. Boston needs all their key players to be healthy all year for them to have a chance to get through in the east, which is highly unlikley. Plus Big Baby is gone now, so is Powe, they are gonna be thin upfront if Wallace or KG get hurt again.

magic aren't returning to the finals. ESP with out turk. Comptondajatt, he IS old thats for sure, but hell be able to hold his own well enough to work in their offense. He's not gonna be pressured much with KG Pierce and Allen on the Floor. The issue is going to be with in the next 2-3 years, when the Celtics (if theyre not careful) will go the way of the Heat. A bunch of old timers in the roster to win a championship, and in 2 years, no developed young players and NO $$$ to cash in on rising stars.

Christmas day will def be Kobe Vs. Lebron and Shaq. Too much stupid, unnecessary hype can be generated from that (mostly because i think Lebron + Shaq = stupid unless shaq is just in to fill in for the 10 mins a game Lebron isn't on fire). Why would they clog up Lebron's playground with a big man KNOWN for drawing a double team and taking up 3/4 of the paint, because Lebron STILL doesn't have the most lethal perimeter, outer paint shot.

Turk might have been a big part of Orlando but Vince Carter is no chump, he is still an elite offensive player. If they can find a way to add another post defender I think they have a great shot. Carter runs the pick and roll well too, and until Boston or Cleveland can defend it on a consistent basis then they are not shoe ins for the finals. Pick and roll and 3 point shooting can carry teams like they did for the Magic this year.

Celtics said themselves that they are playing for next year in mind only, which is probably going to be their last good shot. I will be highly superised if they can go the majority of the season with most of the Big 3 and Wallace healthy, I just dont see it. I love Wallace's game as much as the next guy but he is the most frustrating player you will ever watch, like he can dominate on the offensive end and dominate on ball defense for every possession he gets but it seems so many times he is out of it and forgets he is awesome. If he can be motivated like he was when Larry Brown was there he is a whole different player and I think Doc can be that kinda guy for him. They are really thin upfront especially since Powe and Big Baby are gone now. If they stay healthy they should be able to make it to the finals where they will probably get beat by the Lakers.

NBA has to be licking their chops for all of next years storylines, especially since it will divert attention away from the labor issues, there could easily be another lockout soon.
