anyone watch the sri lanka coach interview after the sri lanka vs. spain match? he said something about how as the tournament progresses they will be learning a bit more about this way of kabaddi as opposed to the "normal" kabaddi the team is used to ? wtf does he mean by "normal" kabaddi

There are different forms of kabaddi and I imagine they use the more historic form where a player is temporarily sent off the field of play in addition to the opponent getting a point.

I find Badal and his whole PTC channel to be pathetic. Only Badal and his punjab police puppets would throw a huge kabaddi tournament the week we are meant to be remembering November 1984. And instead of paying $$$$$$ to people like Miss Pooja, SRK, etc., what he really should of done is spent it on the people.

holy shit man, i know very little about kabaddi but am getting more into it now that there's a world tournament. is it only in movies that you have to keep saying "kabaddi" to kind of hold your breath? It's never audible anymore, neither in some of the videos from the links above or even in a live kabaddi match i watched in San Jose recently.

Agreed, F Badal. The guy has been an attention whore throughout this Kabaddi Cup. It is all about politics and power, it seems like the guy doesn't give 2 shits about Punjab or making a difference in Punjab. Was it really necessary to have a laser light show when you can't even fund schools properly? Shah Rukh Khan comes out and does a douchey dance to Chamak Chalo and made more off that than many people in Punjab make in a year slaving in the fields.

Also, all this talk about Kabaddi bringing the youth away from drugs is funny because I have a hunch that half these guys are on steroids.

No one says "kabaddi" while they play anymore in tournaments. The game has more rules/regulations now as they are trying to make it a professional sport.
