The NBA has been slowly but surely expanding its reach into India. Last year Kyle Korver went there for some camps. Eventually there will be someone of Indian heritage in the NBA, but more likely it will be an NRI.

Maybe an Indian from India. I highly doubt an Indian-American will be in the N.B.A. anytime soon. Our culture makes it difficult to become famous for things other than business,law,and medicine.

No way Indian infrastructure is good enough to produce an athlete for atleast 20 years. An Indian American has a better chance, especially if they are a half breed a la a Manny Malhotra. haha

I can see it, maybe in the next 10 years. there is this kid from a town 10 miles from where i live, starting guard on the varsity team, i see him getting a chance, but then again, i may be wrong. other then him, the last person who i thought would, didn't. Im sure you all have heard of Pasha Bains.

I heard Pasha is trying to make a comeback. If he can get on an NBDL team and show he has still go it he could definitley make a roster.

Pasha Bains!!! I remember playing pick-up against that guy in surrey back in grade 11. That guy is something else. I believe he played at clemson as well as SFU. Then yeah his ankles broke.
