i honestly don't understand why comps try to take control over video shot therein; allowing the public to distribute videos freely only helps publicize the competition. there's really no detriment i can think of, but quite a few still insist on disallowing "unapproved" distribution of videography.

I think its cause they plan on making, and selling DVDs or something to that extent. But they never get to it or dont have enough funds/interest to actually finish it.

Boston actually revamped its video production to match idols and the other top tier competitions. This was a snippet from the original DVD, so if it looks this good might as well buy the DVD ;-)
