i tried so hard to keep my expectations low for this, but its just been built up for at least 3 years now. so it took a couple listens thru it, b finally raekwon put out an album thats not a piece of sht, which he hasnt done since the original imo. meth tore up house of flying daggers and cold outside is proly my fav track, both rae and ghost kill that track. ghost is nasty as hell in gihad lol b hes good. i wish slick rick put in a verse on we will rob you.
i thought production a little hit or miss, i rem way back when it was supposed to be half rza/half dr. dre i dno how that played out, sounds majority rza. some of the beats are a little too bland and polished, cuban linx sposed to be raw and gritty. first half stronger, i think. overall, not quite close to the original, b ill agree w this bein album of the year, blueprint 3 is much weaker than this. of course i have to reserve judgment on album of year in case lucious leftfoot comes out this year, which rae should be on as well
