Love the FOLK in this set. The execution you guys have is insane. LOVED the BIGILI gimmick. IMO what sets you apart from other teams in the circuit besides the high level of execution is that you guys know what your doing. Theres a deep understanding of the roots of bhangra in your set. You...
Good job boys! You really tried bringing the whole Bruin vibe in this set. If the cake, lighting was spot on- who knows we might be having a different conversation. I agree with some points already brought up and I dont think going 20 hurt you as much as going 14 guys and 6 girls.. That combo...
Wicked set! Arun and Gsimz you guys killed it!
Absolutely agree with Ankush on the intro sher. There’s only a select few individuals that can bring fire doing a sher and if you don’t match up to those select few, it just brings your intro down imo. Intro points could of been lost cause of that...
Man.. obviously I'm not going to be a broken record and keep repeating what the flaws to this set is because you can read everything above me.. but damn boys/girls.. you guys have a style that is really different from every music team. Utilize that and stop doing all this extra jibbersh stuff...
More so finding more qualified folk judges, you need judges that know how to stick with the rubric. Of course your judges should know all elements of Folk bhangra, etc ( I don't need to go on and on about that) but more so man I really think we lack judges that will actually follow comp rubrics...
Kiddan Mundeyo! When I saw you guys won first at Boston I was anticipating a more modern routine since historically from what I remember Boston is def more on the modern side of bhangra but right when the beat hit I was pleasantly surprised! Luddi was hot! However to be completely honest...
I absolutely love this! You are doing what every other “Music” teams are lacking and that’s dancing pooray Josh naal! Sure you lose cleanliness in form and that’s probably why you didn’t place at 6ix and I don’t know if you placed at Boston or not but man I’m a huge fan of the style and set...
SRK! First off you ain't retiring, bas kar :) secondly kudos to you man! Way to bring a set that empathizes bhangra more so rather than speed and running all alround stage. I hope more collegiate teams take this to notice and bring back a trend of more "pure" bhangra sets. I actually enjoyed the...
1. Buckeye/MBT
2. Buckeye/MBT
Toss up between these 2. Saw them both earlier this year and they both will bring fire! Should be a good one! Good luck to all the teams.
Yeah I had the opportunity for the first time to just sit back and enjoy the show at Elite Bhangra in Abbotsford. Everyone put on a show especially all the junior teams! Bhangra is def headed in the right direction in the BC area, however with that said the placing for the senior category were...
Yooo it's been a minute since I posted anything in here! I'm very excited to see the scene still alive and everyone keeping bhangra alive! I had the opportunity to dance with my boys (DCB) at west coast bhangra and wanted to share our video with all of you! We are a new team out of Seattle WA...
