    Week 4: Bracket B - Matchup 1 (Voting Closed)

DJ 1 the HP sample was buried in DJ 2's mix

DJ 1 - really creative with the sampling and you found a great drum pattern that rode well, great job! DJ 2 - didn't really seem to fit the prompt of a sapp segment in terms of tempo/structure imo, and was dominated by another song for the most part. great eq work tho, those 808s were bangin I...

    Week 3: Bracket A - Matchup 2 (Voting Closed)

DJ 1 - a pretty classic sapp segment in terms of tempo and drum pattern which has nice bounce, however the vocals were so buried it didn't have much of the character of the original song left DJ 2 - more musical and had fleshed out ideas (and i could hear the vocals) - the drums could've been...

    Week 3: Bracket A - Matchup 1 (Voting Closed)

Pretty much echo what kman said - DJ 1 sounded more like what I'd expect from a sapp segment but with clashing/out of key elements. DJ 2 had a strange structure for a sapp segment but was more cohesive sonically. Tough one but I guess I have to vote for DJ 2

    Week 3: Bracket A - Matchup 4 (Voting Closed)

DJ 1 - solid overall, would've liked some harder-hitting drops but was definitely the cleaner of the two DJ 2 - generally muddy and as kman said that dhol was rather shrill. that being said the buildup was cool pre-drop I vote DJ 1

My vote goes DJ 1 - high end was a bit sharp but otherwise solid DJ 2 - something felt off with the patterns and master, tho i did like the crew love sample

    Week 2: Bracket A - Matchup 2 (Voting Closed)

pretty tough, but I gotta go DJ 2 - just a vibe from front to back, the last section was creative and smoooth with that sick daniel caesar cut DJ 1 - great intro and buildup, but drop was a little much/cluttered

I vote DJ 2 - creative use of moonlight and weaved together well DJ 1 - good job, only thing would be that chandelier was a bit too pitched up for my taste

    Week 2: Bracket A - Matchup 1 (Voting Closed)

I vote DJ 1 - that shit was nuts haha, love the creativity! would've liked maybe some more vocal presence and some elements didn't always fit perfectly but overall the "kitchen sink" approach paid off imo DJ 2 was solid, not much to complain about, but I think 1 gets it based on all the ideas...

Week 1: Group C (VOTING CLOSED)

I vote DJ 1 and 4 DJ 1: love the lofi vibes - piano could have been balanced better w/ the vocals DJ 2: some clashing elements weighed it down DJ 3: the first drop was a bit too chaotic for me, the second half was nice tho, would have liked more of a boom-bap kick there DJ 4: simple, clean...

Week 1: Group D (VOTING CLOSED)

I vote DJ 1 and 4 DJ 1: could have used more variation and layering - drop could have used a changeup as it sounds kinda monotonous DJ 2: lots of clashing/out of key elements - not sure why naag took up most of the mix lol DJ 3: buildup was p sick but the drop didn't land for me - synths kinda...

Week 1: Group E (VOTING CLOSED)

I vote DJ 3 + 5 DJ 1: the macarena sample doesn't really work DJ 2: Drums were overpowering and the homecoming piano sample got buried (and didn't sound in key) DJ 3: really great eq here - great use of the hats with the dhol to fill out the mix. open hat post-drop was a little loud imo, and...

Week 1: Group A (VOTING CLOSED)

I vote 2 and 4 DJ 1: Bassline didn't fit the track, otherwise solid DJ 2: loved the intro and vibe - would have been nice to see the two vocal tracks handled similarly as the levels and spacing are v different DJ 3: weird, clashing vibes in this one - seemed way to dark and creepy for the...

Week 1: Group F (VOTING CLOSED)

I vote 2 and 5 DJ 1: some weird clashing b/w the drums and main track - not enough going on imo DJ 2: really creative to make a jhummar - good use of pads to fill out the sound and get those nice slo vibes DJ 3: I was on board until the end, which was not in key - could have used some more...

Week 1: Group G (VOTING CLOSED)

I vote DJ 1 and 3 DJ 1: took too long to get to the interesting part, but the interesting parts were solid. needs work on EQ/Master to fill out the sound more DJ 2: pretty standard hat/snare/kick/808 stuff - need to work on EQ to balance out the sound as the bass took over the mix post-drop DJ...
