Hiya BTF,
On behalf of Ashley Espinoza and me, Duniya De Rang would like to formally present our latest performances from Burgh 2019 and NDC 2020.
We are proud of what we have accomplished during this short season. It could not have been achieved without the full force of every single...
Duniya De Rang is proud to present our Buckeye Mela 2019 performance—a celebration of what inspires us to dance.
Our previous performances told the stories of our joy for Bhangra and love for our mentors. This time, we reflected on some moments when Bhangra inspired us to appreciate different...
Dear Competition Organizers,
I'm bringing the BTF Competition Calendar up to speed, and I need your help to ensure that the BTF Community has accurate, complete information.
Could you please update your competition's date and information on the following tabs:

There are some home videos of GCC and Vasda Punjab's performances on Youtube. Fireeeee. Love all the personality in the choreo, and holy formation mechanisms wauuu.
ASD: Footwork got sloppy because stamina wasn’t there. Abrupt music transitions. Interesting idea to combine jhummar intro with mirza, but mirza footwork was super rushed. Great ladies, but performance left me wanting and remembering more. :(
@aabraham, Although that was my “solution,” I challenge you to do far better than me. I got into 3-4 years of shouting matches with my parents and wouldn’t answer their phone calls for weeks at a time. I regret hurting them for the sake of keeping my dancing secret.
In hindsight, I wish I did...
Love this topic, @Ashley94!
My rationalization began with purely loving Bhangra, but it’s more complicated now. For example, I’ve made amazing dance friendships, but in turn, I sacrificed relationships with classmates and family. And although Bhangra “feeds my soul,” the self-discipline...
(Never sure when you’re actually joking, but appreciate the thoughts, Sucks.)
Those are all valid concerns for any med student, and shouldn’t be taken lightly. I do agree that if you spend more than “leisure-time” on something outside of med school, it’d better not be a waste of time. For me...
Duniya De Rang invites you to watch our Bruin performance, our tribute to the mentors and friends who brought Bhangra into our lives:
[Mentees Roster]
Yellow: Iris Huang, Lily Kamalyan, Brian Chang, Brad Rosenblum
Green: Rebecca Ho Van Dyke, Kayla Neely, Ryan Daley, Daniel Abia
Blue: Ashley...
Reviving this old thread.
First time I read this was 3 years ago. Afterwards, I decided to defer med school to work and dance for 2 years. Happy to report that I passed my 1st year of med school while captaining Duniya De Rang and dancing for KPGD. Thanks to these BTF posters for paving the...
Impressed by how intelligently the stage was filled using only 10 dancers--
Sid hit on many moments I also had in mind. Would like to add that moments like 5:14 used such a clever way to get the jodi colors to realign. 6:07 what a fresh twist to the typical phulka-formation-expansion. In...
Duniya De Rang is proud to present our winning performance from Buckeye Mela 2018. Congratulations to Furteelay, UNC, and all the competing teams for ripping it. We are humbled to place among these powerhouses, but more importantly, we hope to continue inspiring people of all backgrounds to...
