"Pass is caught by Owens, Owens made the catch"... Niner fans where were you when this happened? I was at my uncles house where we were having a football party for this game... I think I cried my brains out when Owens caught this pass... One of the happiest moments of my life when Young hit Owens to beat the Packers.... Pat Summerall, his voice is so perfect for this call...

dude i remember this like it was yesterday. i was in my van while my parents were driving back from gurudwara function and i had an old black and white portable tv. i took my batteries out of my gameboy and put it in there hoping i would have enough juice to watch the end of the game, i got lucky and got a semi clear signal and right then young passed it and owens caught it and i screamed like a little girl and my parents looked at me like wtf

man those were good days. fuck the nfl salary cap, it has ruined football.

20 years ago School of the Americas (our defense department's terrorist factory) killed a whole bunch of Jesuits in Latin America (as we do to lots of people every year, SOA militants = good friends with our beloved Clintons).
This is cool though !

i was watching the game in my parents room on their tv and nervously pacing back and forth. if you remember the game, owens had been dropping passes all day long. so when i saw the pass going to owens, i was like oh hell no. then he made the catch, got drilled, and held on. i started jumping up and down, ran all over the room and was screaming my head off. the funny thing about this whole situation was that we were entertaining one of my moms friends from med school in pakistan at our house at the time and she just happened to be coming up the stairs at this time (which is located right next to my parents room). so she comes in and is like, "behta behta! tussi teekh hai?" classic moment all around, and one of the last truly great niners memories ive had, along with the comeback playoff game against the giants that one year.

Beautiful throw, beautiful catch and a nice way to win the game in the dieing seconds.

1999 was the first year I started to watch NFL football and It was love at first site! Watching Marshall Faulk owning the league with his 2000+ yards from scrimage was beautiful.

the NFL from 1996 - 2006 was amazing (still is good today).
During that time you had Curtis Martin, Emmit Smith, Marshall Faulk, Eddie George, Corey Dillon, Jerry Rice, and Warrick Dunn in their prime doing big things.
