I've found that facebook works ridiculously well to get people to pay you back. A dude owed me $90 for expenses and after 8 months of continued emails and phone calls, I finally posted on his facebook wall for all to see.
"Hey bro! Can you stop being a cheap ass and pay me back the $90 you owe me? Seriously, it's been 8 months."
Needless to say, I found the check in the mail 3 days later. ;D
