BSOD

If anyone has experienced the BSOD (blue screen of death) would you know what causes it? I have a hunch it's my RAM. Gonna replace it asap.

If anyone of you computer tech's wanna help a brotha out

The files it has been stated are:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Win32k.sys
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.

win32k.sys is one of the core system files

if you've experienced it more than once, I recommend calling up the manufacturer's technical support. If you bought the laptop less than a year ago, 99% of the time you can send it to em and they fix it all for free cuz its under warranty.

Theres not much you can really do about it, some core system file or files are corrupted and are sometimes impossible the fix.

This happened a year ago to one of my laptops, I just ended up deleting windows and reinstalling it from scratch. Another option you have is to use Windows Restore. If you do this, backup ur most important files and then use windows restore to a really early date, and it should have a similar effect.

PFN_LIST CORRUPT means that the system went to swap memory between the RAM and the VRAM on the hard drive, and couldn't. you got vista or xp? IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL means its ether ur computer over heats alot or there is a memory problem.

bsods are almost always memory related...

Just throw it around and see what happens then
if not, use tape, tapes always the answer

BSOD isnt the end of your computer... iv been getting that shit for over a year now... and my computer is fine... make sure your computer isnt overheating.. putting it on your lap or on the carpet will cause it to overheat big time...

lol yea fpn error means ur ram is fuked! but sometimes its caused cuz some malware programm fuked wit ur memory and shit! lol

Well, i just changed the RAM, and for now, the BSOD hasn't showed up at all yet.
