Last matchday for the group stages! The Gunners are about kick it off with Porto and bunch of other fights for first going on today. Chelsea were lucky yesterday but still only managed second. Any footy fans out there , whos your squad and what are your thoughts going into the first knockout round. Come on you Gooners!

Basically, Manchester United are gonna win Champions league.
;D
Man U along with Arsenal are both going to need to step it up if they want to get anywhere. With the way Chelsea and Liverpool are playing, the young Gunners team needs to work on their team chemistry ever since Fabregas became captain. They lack consistency and are definitely going to need help from experienced players like Van Persie. Same goes to Man U who has been in a big slump lately. With Ronaldo winning the Ballon d'Or, now would be a great time for him to once again carry Man U through the knockout stages. So many good teams just in that little mix, but the best part is just beginning ... now add the heavyweights from La Liga, Juventus and my club favorites Real Madrid. Juventus has been on a tear, and like Man U and Arsenal, Real Madrid too needs to step it up and show why they are and always have been La Liga's biggest threat. With Ramos coming into the coaching postion only just a day ago, it's a very necessary change i hope doesn't back fire coming so late into the season. Should be one hell of a fun tourney like always, best of luck to your clubs!

<3 Real Madrid and my Dutchies ;)

I hope Man U takes the Champions League!! Go Ronaldo, Rooney, and Tevez! ;D

I hate Aresenal; I hope they loose. I only have respect for Van Persie & Emmanuel Adebayor (their best player in my opinion). They had such a weak group to compete against, no wonder they are on top. :p

This year.. Barcelona, Liverpool, Roma, and Chelsea have really impressed me. Liverpool might take it this year.. we shall see in a few months. They will definitely go to the Quarterfinals!

My 2 rupees,

P.S. - Navkarn, how are Temur's & your plans for the FIFA World Cup in 2010 coming along? South Africa is gonna be amazing. I'm SO jealous! :D

i can't believe i left out Barca in my post earlier ... they ARE the team to beat. playing magnificient football in La Liga as well and Champons League. so matchday 6 just came to an end and it panned out pretty much the way i imagined except for Arsenal's 2-0 loss to Porto, pretty dissapointing giving up top seed in their group. Real Madrid with a sweet little 3-0 win under new management brought a smile to my face and Man U tying Aalborg wasn't expected, but then again with Ronaldo resting and everyone playing half ass knowing they've already advanced with top seed, not much to expect.

by the way live games are being shown on various ESPN channels on match days, so don't miss out!

Absolutely horrid match today, complete rubbish. Wenger threw in the towel and was just playing for the single point. Adebayor, Fabregas, Nasri, Van Persie all left back in London. Jee I wonder what his gameplan was lol. I just hope the knockout draw is friendly and the Gooners can avoid the likes of Barca and Roma, they are playing just ridiculous footy.
