Hey all,

I'm not sure if you know about this service, but there's this website called Dropbox that lets you drag files to a special folder on your machine, and then they sync up instantaneously with any other computer you have set up with the service. You can also create shared folders between people for sharing documents, music (!), or whatever you want up to 8 GB. You start with 2GB but you can get more by referring or being referred. So you if you sign up through a referral link like this one, you start with 2.25 gigs.

It's been an awesome service for me, I've been using it for almost 2 years, since it was in beta, and I love it. Anyway please sign up and share your referral link for others, too!

I'm currently at 2.25 gigs out of 8... If you sign up thru the link, we both get more free space.

Oh btw Dropbox stores every revision of your file-- so I was using it for my application essays, that way I have every revision stored automatically!

PS - Yesterday, Dheerja unilaterally deleted 26 songs in a shared folder and I almost died wondering what was going on. I hate you Dheerja.

Parallel universe whoa.

PS - I hear u but dropbox i think is the least intrusive -- no required actions/classes/ads or anything. it's paid for by paying members who get 50GB or more

I use ZumoDrive. It only allows a free 2 GB, but it's currently sync-ed up to my Palm Pre. I don't need to transfer new music files via usb anymore, I can just do it over the ZumoDrive.

Not sure if dropbox has a pre/android app.. I have their iPhone application and it's pretty convenient. iPhone doesn't process all song format types, apple is stupid abt that stuff
