For tilli stick: Bamboo or cane vs coloured tilli

Hey everybody, I have been currently using my tilli stick with grip that is made of bamboo or cane(i'm not sure how to explain it, lol), i haven't even tried the coloured tilli like all orange, green, red, etc., what do you guys think? thanks for the reply

What do you mean by coloured tilli?
Like do you mean a plastic coloured tilli because I've used a plastic tilli before. Plastic tillis are heavier of course but I found them to be good when striking the the dhol. Flexibility in plastic is not great. My preference is bamboo.. I like having the flexibility and it being lighter.. Easier on the hand..

Are you talking about the tilli's that are round and have an odd shaped ball at the top? they are made of plastic and i used to use them a long time ago, they don't flex well like normal tilli's should because they are a little too flexible but they sure are loud as hell. And as far as i can grasp you're talking about the rounded bamboo ones? both the plastic and bamboo rounded tillis are more often used by gujus, i used them when i first started, wayyy before i was introduced to the punjabi way of playing lol. they're dope, stiff as hell and loud too, just a different way of playing i guess?

Ya, plastic tillis can have a round, and odd shaped ball at the top that looked like oval and/or sphere. Bamboo tillis is almost straight sometimes, with grip for both dagga and tilli can have round and odd shaped ball too

Depends which bamboo tillis you use, there are some out there that are actually cylindrically shaped
