Good Anti-Virus Software

Hey everyone. If anybody can please recommend a good free anti-virus protection software... my computers been acting up and is pretty infected (no it's not what you think ).

I really don't like Norton, didn't install it on my computer. It takes up too much memory, and acts like a dictator, just does whatever it wants to and NEVER shuts off.

I remember I had one a long time back called FreeAV, free anti virus, or something, got it from download.com, but can't find it anymore.

Don't use Norton it hogs system resources

Good Free Anti-virus Programs basically take your pick. I use Avira and it's great; my only complaint is the occasional popup to upgrade to a paid version

AVG Free

Some other Free Software to run occassionally or keep running
Comodo Firewall
Spybot Search and Destroy
Ad-aware
CCleaner

Norton isn't what it used to be... I use AVG for all my personal computers and @ work... It's free (also has a subscribed version) and works extremely well...
