Groundshaker 2 Registration Now open!

Dear Prospective Team,

This year, Nachdi Jawani/Punjabi VACA will be hosting the second ever Groundshaker 2 Bhangra competition on Saturday, August 30th, 2008, at the esteemed Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. Punjabi Virsa Arts and Culture Academy is a non-profit organization primarily run by local youths. The goal for this establishment is to create awareness to promote and preserve the Punjabi Culture not only within the community but also to take it to other communities as well. Punjabi VACA was founded by Nachdi Jawani Bhangra group who has been striving to encourage the preservation of the Punjabi culture since 2001.

Registration packages will NOW be available on www.nachdijawani.com and will be due June 25th 2008. Our new website will also be launched within the next few days. Feel free to contact us about any questions/concerns you may have.

For those who are unclear about the category situation for Groundshaker 2, this message is for you. As of right now, there is only one category that will have the top 10 dhol/guy/girl/co-ed teams competing against each other. If there is atleast 5 dhol teams that are accepted into the competition, then we will have 2 categories, Freestyle and Traditional. Freestyle will have any team dancing to a c.d., and Traditional will have any teams dancing to live dhol and boliyan.
