i've used tonethis.com and www.myxer.com

they both allow u to cut any mp3 and it sends it your phone as a pic message, one site may or may not work depending on ur phone or plan

Ringtone for iPhone 3g is pretty easy.

All you need is iTunes set up and you're good to go, I'll try to make sound straight forward as best as I can.

iPhone only allows you to have a custom ringtone of only 30 seconds I believe.

So cut out the 30 seconds of the song you want and take that mp3 and add into your iTunes.

Once that clip is added into your playlist right click it and select convert selection to AAC.

You'll get a second version of that song in the playlist show up, take that file and drag it to your desktop. Once on your desktop rename the file to .m4r.

Take that renamed file and slap it in your ringtones category in iTunes, sync it to your phone and BRUAH!!! Custom ringtone on your iPhone without giving Apple a single dime.

For all of you who use Verizon Wireless or any other carrier on a cdma network, put the sound clip on your phone via usb cable or memory card and save it in sounds. THen, send yourself a picture message with the soundclip attached. When you open the picture message you've sent to yourself, open options and you will see "Save As Ringtone". Choose that option and it will save to your phone in your ringtones. Another way verizon heads can send ringtones to themselves is to email a picture message. Go to your gmail, hotmail account, whatever account, attach the sound clip and send it to areacodeyournumber@vzwpix.com. You'll recieve a picture message and save the ringtone the same way described above. If you dont have text messaging, well 25 cents for a ringtone sure beats $1.99 hahaha! Oh and btw I use Wavepad to cut up my songs. Its free.
