The recent monsoon flooding has brought to light a conversation some of us were having in an older thread on BTF regarding the inequality and bigotry India still displays to the Harijans.
This is a sad, sad story of how little humanity we can display as people, and the way in which we justify cruelty. India may be on its way to becoming a superpower with its unprecedented economic growth, but it has an unbelievable number of social and political problems, many self imposed, that need to be addressed.
