Just moved back to the west cost and am looking for an independent bhangra team to join. I'd love to start one if no one is accepting and others are looking to practice and have fun the same way I am. Let me know!

Nice, I was in your position a year ago when I moved out here. There are a few independent and collegiate teams that were active this past year in the SoCal area. Everyone feel free to chime in if I'm missing anything:

All-Male:

-Bhangra Regiment (Los Angeles)
-New All-Male Team (Greater Los Angeles): http://bhangrateamsforum.com/discuss/main-bhangra-discussion/tryouts-for-all-guys-new-bhangra-team-los-angeles/

All-Female:

-New All-Female Team (Orange County): http://bhangrateamsforum.com/discuss/main-bhangra-discussion/all-girls-bhangra-team-in-southern-california/

Co-Ed:

-Da Real Punjabiz (San Diego)
-Rangla Punjab (UC Irvine)
-Bruin Bhangra (UCLA)
-Trojan Bhangra (USC)
-Radhk Punjab Di (CSU-Northridge)
-Ehna Sona Punjab Nachda (UC Riverside)

Some collegiate teams are receptive towards recent grads, so I would contact the captains of the teams that interest you.

PM me if you have more questions. Have fun, and maybe I'll see you around the circuit!
