I turned it on right in the middle of Brooke Shields' speech. I thought her speech was really emotional and really touching. They commented that her speech was one of the most personal ones one the evening. And then immediately after, when Jermaine sang "Smile"... that was a tear jerker.

And then once his daughter started crying, I wept like a bitch. That was hard to watch.

you just hit upon all the best parts of the memorial. I had it DVRed, and i saw it a few hours ago. Very very touching. His daughter closed the deal for me. I shed a tear right there. Usher's performance was very good too.

Of the performances though. Jermaine's was the best though...you could REALLY feel the emotion.
