Yeah no kidding!

However, I do like Bollywood's recent efforts to change the image of the "Sardar". In the past we have seen Sardars being portrayed as loud and obnoxious characters. In some cases these roles were done by real life Sardars themselves. Recently I've seen Sardars playing important roles in movies and not getting made fun of. It's difficult to understand a cultures pride and easier to make fun of it.

I don't put too much faith in mainstream Hindi film cinema to do any justice to any minority cultural or religious group. They have reductified Punjabi culture in the last few decades to drunkards, dancers and dacoits. It will probably be entertaining as shit though, but I can't take a sardar without a chest full of hair seriously so they should let Devgan grow it out.
