INDIANAPOLIS - Marvin Harrison's agent said Monday the Indianapolis Colts have agreed to release him in a salary cap move.

Harrison, who is second in NFL career receptions, turns 37 in August and is coming off the least productive non-injury-plagued season of his 13-year career. Cutting him could save the Colts about $6 million on next season's salary cap.

Agent Tom Condon said the receiver expects the Colts to make the announcement Tuesday or Wednesday. The Associated Press left a telephone message seeking comment with Colts spokesman Craig Kelley.

Harrison caught 112 of his 128 career touchdowns from Peyton Manning, making them the top receiver-quarterback tandem in league history. Harrison has played his whole career with the Colts, but has increasingly become the team's second receiver behind Reggie Wayne. Harrison has 1,102 career receptions, trailing only Jerry Rice.

The Colts are trying to re-sign several veterans, including three-time Pro Bowl centre Jeff Saturday and running back Dominic Rhodes.

The Bills are a fun team to watch because they always find a way to screw up every year...living in Toronto i am somewhat forced to watch the Bills on tv.

Bills need a motivator, someone who will keep that team hyped up in the 2nd half of the season. There qb, Edwards, has shown sign of progress but has been inconsistant. Its tough to figure out the Bills, they are a unique team.

Salary to high, old receiver....Not the best on the team...Very deep WR draft class = cut. I can see the Eagles picking him up, he would fit right in a WCO as a possession receiver.

Yeah philly makes sense, McNabb wants a roster upgrade before he inks that extension. Harrison can still play, i think once he puts the case behind him he'll be back to his similar self. You could just see the case bogging him down at times, he would just be out of it and miss catches he'd make with his eyes closed.
