Hey... found this on the net. The bhangra industry has lost a very big star... a voice like no other.

"Kaka passed away at 4am in the morning in Punjab and was later cremated at 12pm noon. Kaka suffered from a disease called Peelia and was an occasional drinker but also a lack of rest contributed to his death. Kaka Bhaniwala was one of the finest Punjabi singers to have ever graced the music industry. With an outstanding, unique vocal ability, Kaka was the voice behind some of the greatest hits to have emerged in Punjabi/Bhangra music. Kaka's energetic, high pitched singing style became an attraction for Music Producers worldwide.

Kaka's early career saw him create tracks like "Shad Te Aashiqui" and "Chan Warga Mahi" becoming fairly popular but it was when Kaka caught the attention of producers Tigerstyle that his singing status grew with the hit "Nachna Ondha Nai". Ever since then, he was the word on everyone's lips. He grew in the limelight whilst collaborating with Specialist & TruSkool as well as others at Bazaar Records, bringing us hits from "Sahnevaal Chounk" to "Daru Pee Ke". The demand for vocals by Kaka was huge and producers everywhere were trying to get hold of them, we saw the urban hit "Dushmani" by The Dark MC, then came the massive track "Jawani" from DJ H & DJ Rags. We witnessed Kaka at his best featuring in the video enjoying what he did best, bringing a smile to the faces of millions.

If that was not all, many of his fans and colleagues alike were preparing for more, from his album release on Bazaar Records that had contributions from the biggest UK producers. Of course the well known promo of AMX's Kisi Horh Banereh which truly emphasized why he was regarded in such a high league.

The greatest of vocalists have departed from us, Surjit Bhindrakhia, Kulwinder Dhillon, Soni Pabla and now sadly Kaka Bhaniawala. The fallen soldiers of the Bhangra industry, their vocals will forever be remembered, their presence still graced amongst our music and long shall it continue to bless us when we think of Bhangra music. May they rest in peace and be granted salvation from the Almighty.

Kaka Bhaniawala leaves behind a wife and three children, condolences
to his family and close friends who we share our loss with here today."
