First of All, we would like to thanks Boston committee for a great weekend and throwing an amazing competition. This was hands down one of the most organized competition we have ever been to and they know how to handle teams in terms of not getting kicked out of hotel and also, how to give them a good time without having any problems. We felt like at home throughout the competition as after party and mixer were both at the hotel and venue was walking distance from the hotel. Shout out to Priya Bhambi (our liason) for helping us out with everything the whole weekend from the moment we got there to until when we left the hotel. Also, shout out to Rohit for being helpful throughout the whole process from registering to the day of competition. It was a pleasure being at Boston Bhangra and we would love to come back again.

On the day of competition, everything went smooth. Thanks Furteelay Shokeen for letting us borrow green kainthe and phumman the very last month, we forgot them at the hotel. Appreciated that a lot. As for the boston crowd, this is one of the best crowd we have performed in front of. We absolutely had a blast on the stage and all the teams counting our jumps at the end gave us goose bumps. Coming into boston, we knew we had to win the crowd in order to win at this competition and crowd loved our performance. Standing ovation at the end for a team out of town who no one knew from the audience made our whole trip worthwhile going for.

Congrats to FAUJ for second place, loved the tank at the ending. That was a sick way to end the performance. Also, congrats to Furteelay shokeen for the third place, (never got a chance to see their performance) but i heard you guys ripped it. And, shout out to all the rest of the teams for showing the support. At the end of the day, we all joined bhangra to stay connected to our culture and not about how many trophies we take home.

We had a extra day to go around visit the city as our flight was on monday afternoon, loved the city and had a chance to talk to people from other teams over the weekend. Never knew that people loved us so much on the east coast, as this was our first competition on the east coast and we thought no team would know us but people coming upto us and appreciating our old performances definitely was a suprise and we all loved it. Thanks for all the love Boston and respect to all bhangra teams for preserving their culture. Keep doing what ya do.

so great to see a bhangra-heavy, gimmick-light routine win Boston... this team knows how to do Bhangra

hopefully this will encourage other top-dog teams to apply to this perceived "modern comp" in the future

a legitimate 1st place by far... congrats boys, well deserved!

again i cant stress how well made this routine was. it was fun to watch. Look how simple jugni is and it was epic, one of my favorite jugnis of the year just good song selection and good simple choreo. I feel like teams are always trying to put a twist in every move, when this right here proves that you really dont need to. its all great fun to watch. You guys did your thing and won, so much respect.

Need to thank NJ for the idea of doing back to back jumps. But you guys hitting 36 at the end of the routine was sick!! Have to give credit where it's due. Good job guys :)

best dancing of the night. good simple bhangra can still win it at any competition in my opinion. You just need to hit all the right spots (props, jugni, jhummar, etc.)

Was watching this performance with a lot of the aeg vets, and when it was over, we all looked at each other and said things that amounted to: "how refreshing, shan'e did a service for the circuit."

Simple bhangra, executed the right way, still reigns supreme for a lot of the circuit. (see: norcal, bc, dc metro area, collegiate bhangra)

congrats! i would've been out of my seat watching this live! your red dancers are obviously very sick but i don't feel like the routine showcases other also very capable dancers as much as it could.

there needs to be credit now for deciding to do alot of jumps in a row??? come on, seriously? I would like to respectfully disagree. We had 16 jumps in a row at the end of our set, but our comp happened to be 2 weeks after NJ first did 16 jumps in their prop section. should i have put their name in my ending credits? No, its not a "trademark" thing.

you boys killed your routine, no need to give credit to anyone other than yourselves. congratulations on first, this was hands down the nasty.

If giving credit would help some people feel better, why not ? we actually had the jumps planned from a while, we were originally going to do 24 but then saw nj at jashan do 16, so we boosted it to 36. Coming on a discussion forum to explain it to people, its childish. So, rather than explaining to ten zillion people about the jumps, we thought it's better to let NJ take credit if people think so, why not ? We know what's up between us and nachdi jawani =) Only we know what made nachdi bring a folk routine at jashan suddenly after gimmicky routine at idols.

But respect to you for bringing it up. I believe if we all spend a little more time helping other teams rather than calling other teams out like this, bhangra community will be a lot different world and so fun to be around.

Nj might of brought it to the north american bhangra scene but that back to back jumps been happening as long as I can remember maybe just not as much...looks real sick tho

Missed your set at Idols but you better believe I didn't even blink during your set at BBC....you guys did an awesome job and deserved 1st...we're very proud of you :)
On a side note...these guys are some of the best behaved, most respectful people I've met in the circuit. After a first place win I didn't hear a peep out of them all night at the hotel, no problems, no nonsense no nothing. It was very refreshing and hopefully this is the direction the circuit goes in the future.
