Solid artist without the production parade

This is an artist that used to be from the Detroit area and used to roll with kidd skilly...He used to go by Sonny Wonder I think he goes by Sonny Deep right now...I'm not really sure where he is right now and if hes still making music, but I like to go through my old cd's and stuff and rediscover music if you will and I found this on an old cd from Dj Banti's Juz Bounce (was from Chicago according to this cd)....whatever the caseee...this is an ILL song, and he has the ability to cross over and make a nice track without the hype (cough H. Dhami cough)....just by using a simple sample from dipset, it works better than some of the crap thats out....lemme apologize in advance...it is a wma...i just ripped it, and didnt feel like converting it....its not for everyone's tastes of course, but i like simple tracks.

Apparently Skilly used to write music for him. He's not around Detroit anymore, though.

yes, that is Sonny Wonder, who now goes by Sonny Deep. he is a family friend of mine and is a good guy with a lot of talent.

he was in the middle east making music earlier, took some time off and is back making music. i think he will be making some noise soon enough in the music scene, because I think he just signed a new contract with a producer.
