How do you make some vocals sound so crisp and effective to blend in music good?


For example, I have very hard time modifying HOYE sound because it just doesn't fit but lot of mixes make it seem so smooth. What kind of effect you guys be adding in there?

I'm not any pro at mixing but what has helped me a lot is to remove the rough bassy element to it and tweak up the vocals a tiny bit.

Saturation, distortion, and EQing mostly.


When I need to make something sound crispy and stand out. I usually throw on an EQ to take out what I dont need, followed by a Soundtoys Decapitator, and then reverb/echo.

Really just depends on the audio sample and what you want the final outcome to be.

For acid, make sure the sample is one shot. The big HOIIIIIII is actually from a song (Banny A) so its pretty much mastered and shouldn't need anymore tweaking, Just make sure that it's stretched properly (one shot) and not on a loop or beatmap setting.
